Kids First Real Fishing Trip.

Tom took his grandkids camping at Longpoint Park and hired me to take them out fishing. It was a pleasure working with the kids and Grandpa. The youngest designated himself bait master and was fascinated by the live shrimp and mud minnows. Both boys got good at winding fish in as we caught quite a few fish including 3 perky pompano. They never quite warmed up to holding the fish but that’s ok. I’ve learned to not pressure the kids too much. They come around in due time and each one has his/her own sense of caution and comfort. It was fun to introduce these little guys to lots of different species. They made a lot of progress on this day and made me smile all day long.
