Gina Gets the Big One!

On the way out I told Randy, Chris and Clay that the woman onboard always catches the biggest fish. We all chuckled and nodded our heads and sure enough it happened again on this day. Gina literally had her hands full with the giant mangrove snapper, but she prevailed and brought the big fish to the surface. When the fish hit, she was holding a sandwich in one hand and the rod in the other. She squealed when her pole doubled over and hung onto both the rod and the sandwich until Chris could get to her and relieve her of the sandwich. It was a fun image I'll remember for a long time. The guys caught their share of big snappers too. We ended up with a box full of big ones but not nearly the size of Gina's prize. Oh yea, and Clay started out the day with a nice cobia that really put him to the test on a medium spinning rod. It was a great fishing day with a fun crew!
