Father & Son Snapper Fishing

Wow, Stewart and his son Harrison really put a hutin’ on the mangrove snapper on this day. We filled up the fish box with big

ones and added on a sweat cobia too. The cool thing about it was the way we were catching them. We chummed the fish to the surface and caught them by freelining small pieces of bait on medium spinning tackle. When the fish hit it would charge for the bottom. What a fishing challenge it is to stop these strong fish from getting to the bottom and breaking the line on the rocks. Harrison is pictured with the biggest mangrove snapper of the day which he fought like a pro. Stuart is shown with his nice sized cobia that he caught on light tackle while snapper fishing. He had to really go easy during the long fight and played him perfectly. It was a pleasure fishing with this father son team!
