“Women Always Catch the Biggest Fish”

As we were catching live bait on hook and line, I told Jim and Tom “ You know if there’s a woman on board, she always catches the biggest fish”. We chuckled, and the men nodded, conceding that it would probably be the case on this day too. So later, when Sharon’s pole doubled over and something ran with her bait like a freight train, the only one who was surprised was Sharon. This fish was so strong we had to start the boat and run after it. Sharon battled it like a veteran fisherman as it kept pulling and squealing drag and taking line from her reel. When the big beautiful fish came in the boat I don’t think any of us could have been any happier. It was just meant to be. Way to go Sharon!
