Inshore Trip down the Beach

We tried a couple spots in the river and the fishing was slow, so we headed out of the inlet and took advantage of the west wind. You see when the wind comes out of the west, the beach side ocean can be flat as a lake and this was that kind of day. There are some nice fishing reefs very close to shore and we enjoyed catching a wide variety of fish including sheepshead, mangrove snapper, shark, parrotfish, and several others. These guys had a good time catching reef fish on light tackle and took home a couple bags of fillets for dinner. It was a fun morning adventure.
