Sam, Dave and I set our sights on snook on this warm December evening. In retrospect we probably didn’t need the 5 dozen pinfish we caught in the afternoon. The snook were feeding like crazy when the tide turned and seemed to hit artificials as well as live bait. We easily got our limit of keepers and had had a ridiculously good time catching and releasing big drag screaming snook for hours. The surprise of the night was a beautiful cubera snapper that Dave manhandled out of the rocks. I couldn’t believe the sight of the big sweet snapper when it appeared boat side. What an awesome way to wrap up the snook season.
