Ian's First Snook

Grant explained that the goal was to get his son Ian hooked up to some snook and redfish. Well, mission accomplished on this afternoon. We started by drifting some shrimp and Ian caught his first ever snook. I always enjoy watching an angler look over their first ever fish of a certain species with a big grin on their face. Then we went down river to catch some pinfish on hook and line. This takes a while but increases our chances of catching something big later and it worked out. Grant hooked into a gigantic redfish that screamed drag and battled like no other. Welcome to the forty inch club Grant! Ian showed off his angling skills by catching some beautiful snook as the sun was going down. I love it when my guests get to take a nice bag of fillets home. It was a rewarding day with father and son.
