Top Water Lures and Live Bait

Nina and Hunter had so much fun, they wanted to do it again. This time we started out throwing top water plugs in the early morning light. It's special to be twitching an artificial lure on the surface and see a nice fish suddenly explode on your bait. Nina was amazed when the big jack hit her chug bug and squealed drag every which way. She fought it like a pro and brought it aboard for a picture and release. Ah, but the big boys always seem to hit the big live baits which we switched to later in the morning. The jack shown hit a large croaker and put up an awesome fight. Hunter played him like a fiddle and was rewarded with a prize fish and picture. We did loose a couple great fish as well but that's fishing and we'll get them next time. Oh yea, and two fish on one lure is a memorable event that made us all giggle like kids. It was a fun day of fishing.
