Battles on the Reef

Gary and Ron joined me for some bottom fishing today and we tugged, cranked and wrested with all kinds of fish. It’s cool to introduce people who are new to these waters, to all the different species of fish on the reef. One of the highlights was a shark that Ron muscled up. His head and body was the size of a small cow. I couldn’t believe he worked it to the boat where we gawked at its size. For me, the big snapper and grouper stole the show this day. Their power and speed presents quite a challenge to the angler and when they come in the boat you can’t help but swell with pride. It was a great day on Mother Ocean.
