Anniversary Trip

It was Mike and Cindy’s anniversary so when Cindy saw the markings on the redfish she was tickled. We had caught several big reds and had discussed how the black spot patterns are unique on each one. Well, the tail spot on this particular red was in the shape of a heart. We took the perfect anniversary fishing picture and released the beauty to fight another day. Mike on the other hand took care of the heavy lifting. His big bull almost spooled the reel as it charged off relentlessly stripping drag. When we boated the big redfish, we realized this was not his first battle. A large hook was embedded in the big guy’s gills. We removed both hooks and sent the warrior on his way to go make some baby redfish.
