Kevin Comes Up to Speed

This big kingfish made the reel scream alright. He slammed a live grunt drifting off the back of Kevin’s boat and made that classic smoker king sizzling run. You see Kevin is new to Sebastian and hired me to get him up to speed on local offshore fishing. We went out in his 19' boat and I passed along not only fishing places and techniques but safety and navigation skills for our area. I also spent some time with him the day before to check out the boat and his tackle. Getting him comfortable by passing along info and suggestions relative to his boat and experience was the goal. I think we got er done.

It’s a good feeling to be able to help nice people like Kevin safely enjoy the awesome fishing in our area. I expect he has some great times ahead fishing with family and friends.
