Night Trip Example

Ken from Arkansas and I went out for a night trip. I picked him up at the dock on the river where he was staying at 5pm and dropped him back there at 11. He is sensitive to the sun so he enjoyed the T-top early and the big full moon and nice ocean breeze later in the evening. He caught some jacks and ladyfish then whipped this beautiful redfish on the incoming tide. He said this fish fought 3 times harder than the monster stripers from his home waters. I could tell he had a lot of big fish experience as he worked this drag screaming red all around the boat. We also had a few hot fish hooked up that came unbuttoned. It was a nice evening of fishing in Sebastian. Afternoon/night trips can be a good alternative this time of year. You avoid the heat and sun, and often times the fish feed better when the sun goes down.
