Snook Frenzy

We did some awesome snook fishing this morning. I have never seen so many big snook feeding. They were really dialed in on the small baits. The snook were feeding like whales just opening their mouths and inhaling handfuls of small bait. It was a site to behold but we needed to hear some drag scream and feel their power on the end of a pole. The fish were a little finicky so we downsized our terminal tackle and got the bite we wanted. We had great snook action for about 3 hours. The snook are out on the beaches now spawning. It is great to see such a healthy population in our area.

This snook appears a little beat up for some reason. It wasn’t me who abused the lad. I babied him and released him strong. Maybe his spawning partner got a little rough?
